Missouri's compact status reads better on paper than it works in practice. The legislature has enacted the OT Compact, but the Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy (Division of Professional Registration) was not accepting privilege applications as of 2026-09-27, so for now Missouri works like a non-member: nobody practices there on a privilege, and OTs who live there cannot buy privileges elsewhere. Plan on endorsement. This page will change when Missouri goes live.
Missouri has enacted the OT Compact but is NOT yet issuing or accepting privileges. The reciprocity application implements Missouri's general out-of-state license recognition. It requires a current license held for at least one year at the same practice level. An OT licensed for less than a year would presumably use the standard Application for Licensure, which the Board also posts; the Board does not say so explicitly. The Board offers a limited permit ($10) for exam candidates. The reciprocity form asks about veteran status only for referral to the Missouri Veterans Commission. Applicants must have filed and paid Missouri income taxes where applicable (§324.010 RSMo).
